An interesting modern adapted version of Cyrano De Bergerac worked at the Stanley Theatre on Granville & 12th. The lead actor had unbelievable dialogue to digest and reproduce.I could easily see the reviews being mixed about the play itself, as much tongue and cheek may have distracted an audience that didn't connect with a Shakespeare-type playfulness on occasion. Whatever the case, the set and the performances were excellent. The play runs into January and makes for a memorable night.
